Aaron Pike

Personal Story: Aaron Pike is an accomplished American Paralympian who has made a significant impact in both Nordic skiing (LW11.5, Sitting) and track & field (T54). Known for his remarkable versatility and resilience, Pike has competed in six Paralympic Games, showcasing his exceptional talent and determination. Aaron Pike’s journey into adaptive sports began after a T-11 spinal cord injury from a hunting accident at age 13. This life-changing event introduced him to the world of adaptive sports, where he quickly excelled. He started his Paralympic career in wheelchair track & field at the University of Illinois-Champaign, racing alongside legendary Paralympian Tatyana McFadden. Pike transitioned to winter sports after the London 2012 Paralympic Games, following an invitation to a training camp by a coach from the U.S. Paralympics Nordic Skiing National Team. He was nominated to the team in May 2013, and in his debut season, he achieved three top-15 finishes in world cup competitions. Aaron is the son of Chris and Tiffany Pike and has a younger brother named Corey. He enjoys camping, fishing, and spending time with his family, whom he cites as his biggest source of strength.
